02 — Estate Planning and Conveyance Valuations
Careful valuations for estates and transfers.
When a property passes to family or forms part of an estate, an independent valuation helps executors and owners meet their obligations. These valuations are used for stamp duty and tax purposes and influence the amount payable.

Who this service is for
- Executors and administrators of an estate
- Property owners transferring title to a family member
- Lawyers and accountants acting for an estate or owner
When you may need it
- An executor needs the estate’s property assets valued
- A valuation is needed as at a past date (a retrospective valuation)
- A property is being transferred by deed as a voluntary conveyance
Two common situations
01
Probate valuations
required when an executor needs the total assets valued so that tax liabilities can be worked out. Many will need to be a retrospective valuation.
02
Voluntary conveyance
the intentional transfer of title from one individual to another by deed. The valuation is required for stamp duty purposes and determines the stamp duty payable on the deed of transfer.
